alongside her. His girl had scared the hell out of him when he’d woken up alone in bed on Saturday, unable to find her. He’d torn through nearly the entire 82

club before the doorman saw him and mentioned calling a cab for his date. He was determined to make damn sure she understood two things before she left this office today—number one, she would never run from his bed again and number two, she belonged to him.
As he glanced out his office door, he saw that Ginny had her back turned to him and he sensed she was trying to keep her telephone conversation private. He rose and walked toward her.
“Liam,” she said. “I’m not interested in seeing you tonight. I told you this morning, it’s over.” She paused, no doubt listening to the asshole’s excuses. “No,” she answered.
“I really don’t feel like going into my reasons why. Not over the phone and certainly not in person.”
She wasn’t going to tell him about catching him red-handed at the club? Ryan watched as she rubbed her hand against the back of her neck and he could see the weariness of the gesture as Liam apparently continued to plead his case on the other end of the line.
“Okay, fine! I’ll tell you why. Four words, Liam—Way Down Under Club.”
Ryan grinned at the cold tone in her voice.
“What do you mean what was I doing there? That’s hardly the point, is it? You’re a two-timing jerk and I—” Apparently Liam had interrupted.
“No, I don’t want to go to dinner, you dumbass!” she answered.
Ryan felt his temper flare at the fact Liam obviously seemed far more interested in Ginny now that he knew she’d gone to a sex club. Hell, he was steamed she was even talking to the little prick while she had his toys buried inside her.
“Hang up the phone,” he commanded as Ginny jumped slightly at the sound of his voice right behind her. She turned slowly, the phone still at her ear.
    “No Liam,” she whispered.
“Hang it up, Ginny,” he repeated.

When she failed to respond to his demand, he walked behind her desk, picked up the base of the phone and ripped it from the wall.
Ginny exploded. “What the hell did you do that for? Do you know how much it’s going to cost to fix that? Shit, Travers, that phone is a big part of this firm’s livelihood!”
No doubt her temper was as ragged as his. They’d both spent the last few hours on the verge of an orgasm with no hope of release.
“Get in my office!” he shouted. “Now! And if I hear the name Travers cross your lips one more time today, I swear to God I’ll beat your ass.”
His heated words and threat didn’t seem to penetrate her consciousness. “Listen, Travers ,” she said, dragging out the name. “I don’t appreciate being ordered around like this! The bedroom is one thing, but this is my job . You can’t stuff me full of vibrators and plugs and expect me to get a damn thing done around here!”
“Get. In. The. Office.” He spoke the words through gritted teeth and at last, Ginny’s sense of self-preservation seemed to seep through to her sex-starved mind.
She walked slowly toward his office but Ryan wasn’t in the mood to be kept waiting. He grabbed her hand and dragged her behind him, slamming his office door so hard that two pictures fell off the wall.
As he turned to face her, he watched as she opened her mouth to lambaste him.
Unwilling to hear any more of her angry comments, he pulled her toward him and kissed her—hard. Each time he broke away she attempted to speak and he silenced her again with his lips. Over and over, they fought a battle of wills until he finally felt her body relax against his. Only then did he gentle the kiss and wrap his arms around her as she curved her soft body into his hard one.
“Ryan,” she whispered when he pulled away.
“That’s right. I’m Ryan,” he murmured, running his tongue along her lower lip.
“Now take that damn skirt off.”
