come to an agreement?” Luke asks as he wraps an arm around my waist.
“Yes, we did,” I smile, staring up into his hazel eyes, “We’re eloping.”
“I’m cool with that,” Luke grins.
My mother’s jaw drops, “Are you serious?”
“If you keep picking out pink wedding dresses, I might be tempted to tie the knot in some tropical destination,” I tease.
My mom stares at me, as if she can’t decide whether she wants to chew me out or cry. I just stare back at her mischievously, trying my best not to chuckle. Luke glances back and forth between the two of us, trying his best to suppress a grin, and Cameron starts giggling into her wine.
Music suddenly fills the air. All of us turn to look, seeing that my father has made his way over to the computer and selected a playlist on my Spotify. He glances at each of us, a smirk etched across his face.
“You people need to loosen up.”
Laughter breaks out amongst all of us. I had no idea he'd even learned to operate a computer. Wonders will never cease. Even my mom manages a chuckle at the surprise.
Soon, everyone begins digging into the food, all except my father and I. I turn to look at him. He’s beginning to look frail. Not as bad as he had looked in my dream, but the toll of the cancer on his body is showing.
My dad smiles at me and nods for me to come over towards him. I oblige and break away from the ravenous horde that my family has turned into thanks to my dad’s empanadas.
“Dance with me?” Dad whispers once I make it to him.
    “Sure,” I smile.
Luke has been watching and with a nod from my father I see him head over to the computer to select a song for us.
He takes my hand and begins leading me around the room. It’s the Celia Cruz song, the one that he and I used to dance to when I was so very little. Tears well up in my eyes as he and I dance to the lively beat.
Guantanamera… yo soy un hombre sincero…
This was what I had always wanted from my father, but I never thought I would be able to have.
Vincent claps to the beat and our happy moment and my mother and Cameron appear to suddenly have something in their eyes.
Luke smiles at me with so much love and joy at seeing me with my father in this moment, and I feel so much love for him in return, my beautiful man, my husband to be, my Luke.
Dad wipes a tear from my cheek as he shakes and moves to the Spanish music. Right now, in this moment, he is alive, we are young again in the music and I am a little girl, dancing with my Daddy.
    “I love you, mija. ”
    “I love you too, Papa.”

If you enjoyed it, please take a moment to leave me a quick review (even a couple sentences) on Amazon! Reviews really help keep me writing more of the books you love to read.
    And what books are next?
Well, Natasha and Luke are finally happy… Will this be the last of them? Life takes a lot of interesting twists and turns and who knows if we'll hear from this couple again… ;)
And, I'm certainly interested in exploring a little of Cameron's love life, aren't you? Or perhaps you would like to read more about Derrick Baptiste's prison experience?
I'm also super interested in whether you are all about only MMA romance, or if you have a diverse range of guilty pleasures.
I love to hear what you have to say so feel
