words and something seemed to be bothering him, but I was too scared to ask what that could be.  He held his hand along my lower back, guiding me even though I knew the way.  I stayed silent as we rode up the elevator, leading him down the hallway to my suite.  I fumbled nervously with my key and he finally grabbed it out of my hand to complete the task for me.
    Someone was in a mood.
I made my way into the room, starting to walk toward the lower level where the couch was, but he guided me to the bed instead.  I lay down, Ryder towering over me as he lowered himself on top of me.  He was oozing sex appeal and pure masculinity and I was left feeling hot and bothered.  I was close enough to see a single bead of sweat rolling down the side of his face.  I wanted to lick it up, tasting the saltiness on my tongue.
I looked up into his eyes and saw pure anger and lust.  I should be frightened but just having Ryder near made my core tingle.  His hard abdominal muscles pressed against my stomach and I wanted to feel more of him.  He kept working his jaw, seconds ticking by before he spoke up.
“Were you having fun with that fucker at the club?  Did I ruin your plans to fuck him tonight?  Is that what turns you on, Payton?  Quick fucks and quicker goodbyes?”  His eyes were a deep blue and I could see his jaw tensing up.  He wasn’t letting himself touch my body and I was impressed with the strength of his arms.  I briefly wondered what Ryder had done to get Tate to leave without notice, but the man above me held my attention more than my questions about Tate.
“He’s a friend from a while back.  We were just having fun.  I wasn’t expecting him to be here.”  He looked away for the briefest of moments and I saw pain and anger in his eyes when he returned his gaze.
I couldn’t stop thinking about his erection that kept grazing my thigh and writhed underneath him to feel more of him.  I knew he was angry but I still wanted him terribly.  Angry sex could be hot.  He noticed my movement and pushed himself against me with more force than I was ready for and I involuntarily let out a loud moan which earned me a smirk from him.
“So you do want me.  Why did you run, Payton?  Worried I may find out your dirty little secrets?  You can’t deny what you feel for me. Hell, I can feel it when we are anywhere near each other.  Everything about you gives you away—your eyes, voice, erect nipples.  Your pulse has gotten faster, and the way you’re breathing has changed since we got to your room.  I know without a doubt that you want my cock deep inside you right now.”
“Right now, I do want you, Ryder.  I can’t stop thinking about your fingers being inside me just like in your hotel room back in San Diego.  I want you so badly I can’t think straight.”  He didn’t have to know that it would be our first and last time together.  I had a taste of him the other night and was dying to get the whole thing.  Just remembering the feel of Ryder’s hot mouth against my clit—his moans as I took him in my mouth—I couldn’t think of anything but him filling me with his hard length.
Wait .  Dirty little secrets? Quick fucks and quicker goodbyes?  What did he mean by that?   I felt like I may have an abnormal amount of dirty little secrets but why would he say the other?  We haven’t talked about any of my tendencies while in Las Vegas.
I also doubt he put two and two together about my birth parents and I don’t think he’d use ‘dirty little secrets’ as the terminology for that one.  What could he have on me?
I came up with the conclusion that he probably thought Tate and I used to be intimate with each other since we were all over each other on the dance floor.  Who cared if I had a past with Tate?  Ryder doesn’t get to judge my past.
“My past is my past.  I know these feelings I have for you are scaring the shit out of me, Ryder.  I can’t do a
