bigger place?”
I laughed with her as I swung her around and carried her into the bedroom; nothing had ever felt so right.
Kat
September 1985
They say everything happens for a reason and sometimes that reason takes a while to show itself…right?
I could feel myself boiling, screaming internally. I hadn’t seen Thomas is almost a month since our argument. It was better he knew about Roy, about Shane and my plot. It almost felt childish the guilt I felt. I needed someone to know, and Thomas? He was the only person I truly trusted, the only person I really…loved…
“I think I’m going to go to Tom’s.” I said to Shane.
“Oh?” he asked, looking up from the newspaper.
I leaned over on the table, “I think I should, I mean, he was pretty upset about the whole thing.”
“I don’t know why you told him about the whole Drew thing.”
“Shane, he already knew. I couldn’t hide it.”
Shane shook his head, a smile curing on his lips.
“Do you feel bad about it?”
He meant Drew.
“No,” I said softly, coming closer to him.
He stood up, taking me in his arms. “Go see Tom,” he told me.
I let out a breath, “okay, I just hope he will see me.”
“He will.”
“James told me that they have been practicing without me…I hate it.”
“Well, Kat, if you want to be back in the band then make peace with Tom, you can do it, I know you can.” He kissed my forehead like a child.
I drove to Thomas’ house where I went up the concrete stairs and knocked on the door.
He opened the door. Seeing it was I, he began to shut it. “Please,” I begged, blocking him.
He reopened the door and let me in, crossing his arms and waiting as I turned to face him.
“I’m sorry, Tom.”
“I really don’t want to hear this, Kat.” he said, his voice shaky.
“James said…”
“I don’t want to know what James said.” He snapped
I closed my eyes and let out a breath, “Please Tom, stop this.”
“I didn’t start it.”
My eyes met his then; I noticed his hair had gotten longer, his bangs slightly covering his eyes as he kept flipping them out of the way.
I stepped towards him. He took a step back.
“Don’t, Kat.”
I moved closer to him, trapping him into the corner. My hand brushed his hair out of his face and rested on his shoulder.
I stood on my tip toes and whispered in his ear, my breasts pressing against his chest, my heart pounding.
“Please Tom.”
His eyes met mine straight on when I pulled away slightly, facing him, our bodies still pressed close.
“I don’t hate you, Kat,” he let out with a sigh.
I glanced at his lips, then his eyes. I couldn’t help myself as my lips brushed his.
“We said we wouldn’t do this,” he protested.
“I want you, I can’t help it,” I whispered as warmth spread through me.
His mouth crushed to mine, his body pressing against me as he threw me back against the wall. His hands grabbed my wrists as he pressed them over my head, his mouth on my neck. When he found my lips again, he let go of my wrists and my arms went around his neck. His hands ran up my legs as he lifted them around him. He lifted me easily off of the ground; I held on to him as he carried me to his bedroom and laid me on his bed. He came down on me, slipping off my pants. He pressed into me. My eyes shut tight as I shivered. He kissed me softly as he slowly moved in me, the feeling was exhilarating. He wasn’t just having sex with me; he was making love to me. My hand grasped his as our eyes met.
“I love you, Kat,” he whispered
“I love you too, Tom” I responded, pulling his lips back to mine.
His breath started to quicken as his lips slightly parted. I wrapped my legs tighter around him when he began moving quicker. Wordlessly, he thumped harder into my core, his eyes never leaving mine. Suddenly his eyes shut tightly as he threw his head back and breathed out raggedy. He paused briefly before rolling off of me, his hand still in mine.
“We shouldn’t
