you with that, Micah, if you really want to learn.”
Micah stared down at his hands, which were gripping his glass, a frown line forming between his brows. He looked thoughtful, which pleased Tackett. At least he wasn’t going to get some flippant answer.
“I won’t argue with you there,” Micah finally said. “I’m sure of what I want, but I don’t have a clue how to get it. I watch the other subs, listen to the Doms I’ve been with, and have an idea how I’m supposed to behave to get what I want.” Micah lifted his eyes and met Tackett’s gaze. “I’ve never fully submitted to anyone, never found anyone I wanted to. So you’re right, I don’t know what it means. I need you to help me, Sir.”
He’d been right: Micah was a natural. He could work with that. “I appreciate your honesty.” He tapped his fingers against his mug, choosing his words carefully. “Okay. I’ll agree to your suggested two-week trial period, I will try to help you reach your goals and find true peace in submission. No formal contract, we’ll see how it goes. If you’re still willing, then we’ll discuss my needs, my rules, what I expect from you, and in turn what you can expect from me.”
“Yes!” Micah blurted without hesitation, his eyes lighting up with excitement.
“Calm down, pup,” Tackett laughed, so very happy with Micah’s reaction. “You might want to hear all of my demands and expectations first.”
“Okay, but I already know my answer. Yes!”
Tackett ignored Micah’s enthusiasm. He wanted Micah to understand exactly what he was getting into. “I demand obedience and respect at all times. If I tell you to do something, you do it without question, unless you truly don’t understand what I’m asking of you, then it is your responsibility to get clarification. You will perform to the best of your ability and if at any time you no longer can or wish not to continue, use your safeword and it ends. You will refer to me as either Sir or Master at all times, and your only job is to please me. You please me by setting your own needs aside for mine. Understood?”
Micah shifted in his chair, excitement still shining in his blue eyes and causing him to shake. “Yes!”
Tackett sighed. “This won’t be easy, Micah. I’m very demanding. I suspect at some point over the next two weeks, you will want to scream and rage, you may even at times hate me. I’m going to push you harder than you’ve ever been pushed. However, in return for your submission, I’ll do everything in my power to guide you, and if at all possible, help you find what you’re looking for.”
Micah looked as if he were ready to fly out of his seat at any moment, the way he was wiggling in his chair. His face flushed, and undoubtedly the only thing keeping him from speaking was the tight grip his teeth had on his bottom lip. Tackett waited for Micah’s response, and then realized he hadn’t actually asked the man a question.
Clamping down on his excitement at the prospect of Micah being his for the next two weeks, he kept his voice low and smooth. “Is this agreeable to you, Micah?”
“Yes! I mean, yes, Sir. Very agreeable, Sir. Thank you, Sir.”
Oh good Lord, the man was surely going to burst. It made something in his belly flutter. “C’mere, Micah.”
Micah popped out of his seat with way more energy than a man had a right to have, coming to Tackett’s side and instantly falling to his knees, eyes respectfully down. Micah would certainly keep him on his toes. He’d have to come up with creative ways to channel all that untamed energy. His arousal grew with the thought. Tackett petted Micah’s curls, enjoying the way the soft strands felt against his palm and seeing the man at his feet.
When Micah finally seemed to calm, his breath slowing and the jitters draining away, Tackett went to his feet. “Get the breakfast dishes cleaned up and meet me in the bedroom.”
“Yes, Sir.”
Tackett left him to clean up while he
