He allowed himself one erotic treat,
stepping silently from the sea and lying down beside her, just
close enough to feel the heat coming from her body. His eyes
consumed her body and her face as she came closer to her climax.
One touch of his hand would make her his, and his own powers
coupled with her arousal would make their union so sweet, but still
he held back. Now was not the time. He wanted only to enjoy her
pleasure. He closed his eyes for a moment, and all his senses
became one with the sea. He licked his lips as he tasted her
sweetness, and then he smiled as he glanced back down at her. In
the next moment she fell apart, crying out, unashamed to let the
sea, and her unseen admirer, hear her pleasure.
As her body trembled and her shaking
hands moved up her body and over her breasts, he knew he needed to
leave. But the stubborn part of him wanted one last thing—to see
what color her eyes were.
She opened her eyes and stared up at
the sky, then her gaze darted to him, and in that moment he let the
sea carry him away in a mist, holding in his heart the memory of
those bright green orbs.

Layla sat up quickly, her body still
shaking from her release. The orgasm had been amazing, but had she
really seen what she thought she’d seen? As she’d opened her eyes
to look up at the stars, the man from her fantasy had lingered a
bit longer than she’d expected. Yet, he hadn’t been exactly like
her fantasy. She knew she hadn’t seen a real man, but how else
could she explain the fact that her fantasy lover had brown eyes
yet she’d found herself staring into blue ones in that last second?
His hair had seemed longer too. And his body had been even
sexier.
Layla looked up and down the beach,
but nothing stirred. She knew she was alone. The thought of someone
watching her made her blush, but there was no place close for
anyone to hide. She blushed even more as she thought of the man
again because she knew she would have willingly gone into his arms.
Her body tingled deliciously as she thought of really making love
with such a man here in the waves. She couldn’t help sighing. She’d
probably never meet such a man, much less sleep with him, even as a
one-night stand, but she could certainly take the vision of him to
bed with her that night. She laughed and shook her head. She stood
up and grabbed her towel. “I probably just need a cold shower,” she
told herself. She took a deep breath and looked out across the
waves one more time before walking up to her cottage.

Chapter Two

Poseidon watched her go into the small
cottage and couldn’t help laughing at his good fortune. He’d rarely
spent time in this alcove before, and he suddenly felt grateful
Zeus and Gloria had chosen to make love on this beach, mocking him
by straying so close to his domain. They were gone, so they didn’t
matter anymore. He dove into the waves and made his way back to his
temporary home. He made a note to summon more servants, as he might
end up staying longer than he had planned. He wanted to meet this
girl. He didn’t yet know how he would do it, but he would
eventually come up with something.
He felt an intense need for release
when he entered his bedroom. His lovely neighbor certainly had
potential, and watching her come had made his cock harden and ache
for her. He didn’t even bother to dress, thinking he might make one
of his servants very happy by allowing her to give him a massage
and ease his pain.
“ There’s no need to summon
anyone. I’m more than happy to oblige, my dear
Poseidon.”
He turned and saw Hera reclining on
his bed, her eyes alight with desire and naughty ideas. She wore
her flowing dark hair in a tight chignon and her ample bosom and
long legs were covered, and beautifully sculpted, by a dark gray
business suit. He’d forgotten she was still playing at office
politics under the assumed identity of a hotel heiress.
He smiled hungrily at her, but then he
shook his head. “Not
