Passion Overseas: A Billionaire BWWM Holiday Romance
back,
remember?” he asked again. She smiled and nodded as he got off
the bed. He kissed her softly and began walking towards the bathroom.
But somehow, even after that crazy session of lovemaking, he couldn’t
shake the fact that Erica had been right. They needed to figure
something out.

Chapter 10
    Erica was nervous as
she and Daniel rode in the cab to the hospital. She was having second
thoughts but something told her that she was just antsy. It was just
the fact that she was getting into yet another relationship. The last
one had ended so badly that every time she thought about it, she just
wanted to cry out. She looked at Daniel and took a long deep breath.
    “ What?
You okay?” Daniel asked as he brushed off a curl from her face.
    “ Just
getting a strange sense of déjà vu,” she said as
she looked out the window. Daniel took her hand and squeezed it
gently.
    “ Hey,”
he started as he brought her hand to his lips. He kissed her hand
softly. “Hey, look at me,” he said as he looked at her.
“I am not Eli. I am nothing like him.”
    She smiled as she
looked into his eyes. She knew he was right. He was absolutely
nothing like Eli. He didn’t even come close to what an asshole
Eli was like. She forced out a smile.
    “ I
know,” she said in a soft voice.
    “ Good.
Then don’t worry,” he said with a smile. “Or are
you having second thoughts?” he asked as he raised one eyebrow
over the other.
    She shook her head.
    “ I’m
just really scared. Things are moving so fast and…” she
never got to finish that sentence. Daniel had leaned over and claimed
her lips in one long, lingering kiss.
    “ Well,
things may move fast but I am most definitely enjoying the ride,”
he said in a whisper. She looked into his eyes and smiled. Even with
the jet lag and exhaustion in his eyes, she could still see the
honesty in his eyes that made her relax. “I love you,” he
said in a soft voice.
    “ I
love you too,” she replied as she looked at him. Just then the
cab pulled up in front of the hospital. “Are you ready for
this?” she asked.
    “ Yes.
Are you?” he asked with a smile.
    “ Yes,
I am. Let’s just go,” she said as she climbed out of the
car. Daniel climbed out of the car and followed her into the hospital
after paying the cab driver. “So, how is this going to work?
Healthcare in a foreign country?” she asked as they walked to
the reception.
    “ I’ll
handle it,” he said with a smile.
    “ Done
this a lot, Mr. Reese?” she asked with a smile.
    He nodded and she
frowned.
    “ I
mean getting sick abroad, not what you think,” he said. “Or
what I think you are implying,” he added with a frown. “Hi,
we would like to see someone about getting tested.”
    “ Fill
this out, please,” the receptionist said as she handed Daniel
two forms. The two sat down and quickly filled out the small
questionnaire before handing them back to the receptionist. “Have
a seat and someone will be with you shortly,” she added. Daniel
looked at Erica as they sat down.
    “ Times
like this I really miss home. You know, doctors you know and stuff
like that,” he said.
    “ Oh
yeah. My OBGYN would definitely like to see me,” Erica said
making Daniel frown. “It’s a joke we have. She says that
the only action she gets is when she sees her patients,” she
added with a smile.
    “ How
old is she?” Daniel asked.
    “ Not
so old. She is actually quite a looker but she has not been very
lucky in love, lately,” she said. “At some point, we’d
both given up. And then I met you,” she added looking into his
eyes.
    Daniel smiled at her
and took her hand in his. He could tell that she was nervous from the
way she was breathing and looking at him. It seemed like forever
before the receptionist finally called their names.
    “ Daniel
Reese and Erica Hayes,” the receptionist called out. Daniel
looked at Erica who was taking a deep breath and then stood up. “Do
you want to go in together?” the
