Of Yesterday
heart beating hard against her chest.
Jason traced his fingertips across her cheek before caressing
the fullness of her lower lip with his knuckles. Her breath changed to a
desperate gasp. She felt the shudder that ran through his hand. She reached up,
slipped her fingers into the warmth of his broad palm, and pressed his knuckles
back against her lips, surprised at the deep connection they shared.
His eyes flared. "You're the most beautiful woman,"
he whispered.
Closing her eyes, she bowed her head. He slid his fingertips
under her chin and tilted her face up to his view. "I hope you realize
that. I want you to know how beautiful I think you are."
She met his gaze. "I’m scared. The feelings I have when
I'm with you..."
Jason shook his head. "Don’t be. I would never hurt
you. I plan on taking care of you until the day I die."A combination of
vulnerability and raw male hunger flashed in his blue eyes.
Taylor went eagerly as he pulled her into his arms, fitting
her head underneath his chin as he smoothed his hands down her back and over
her hips. She felt him shudder, realizing that Jason must want her just as bad
as she did him.
Taylor sighed, resting her cheek against his broad chest.
She loved being surrounded by his strength, the sense of safety she found in
his arms. No man had ever made her feel more treasured, more protected, or more
loved.
Jason looked out the window at the falling snow. An early
spring storm had surprised everyone when it arrived. "I'm not happy that
Mandy is staying the night at the O'Keefe's," he mumbled between gritted
teeth.
Taylor patted Jason's chest soothingly, "I spoke with
the older brother, and he assured me that Mandy would be staying in the guest
room, far from Josh. You have nothing to worry about."
Taylor was happy that the town still allowed the use of the
phone for simple communication. Once the storm had hit, it was decided it would
be too dangerous to have Mandy out in the weather to travel the two mile
distance between the ranches.
"I would've gone to get her," he retorted.
"I know, but then you both could have been stuck out
there in the snow. I made a judgment call allowing her to stay. Please trust
me."
He nodded. "I do. I just can't help being protective."
He paused for a moment and then stared back into Taylor's eyes. "I'm going
to go start a fire for us. Care to meet me in the main room?"

Taylor cuddled up to Jason's warm body in front of the fire,
and took the moment to allow the cozy heat to work its way deep into her soul. Gazing
out the window that overlooked the ranch, she shifted languidly in Jason's arms
and watched the snowflakes as they drifted down from the pale winter sky.
She smiled when she heard Jason’s sigh of contentment. She
closed her eyes and relaxed within his embrace. His hands gently began to trace
sensual circles along her stomach. Glancing up at him, she saw that his smile
had changed. He looked now as he had looked the first time they had made love– hungry
for her. Taylor's muscles tensed, her body flooding with an intense desire, the
kind of desire that took her breath away. A soft moan escaped her lips.
"Moaning like that is going to get you in trouble,"
he warned, his voice low and sultry.
Taylor moaned again, grinning mischievously. "I like
getting in trouble."
"I see my punishments aren't working."
"Oh, they are. I just happen to like being punished."
She winked with a playful smile.
He chuckled, softly grabbing one of her breasts. "I
think I may have met my match with you."
She teasingly nipped at the stubble covering his chin. "Yes,
you have."
"You're going to wear me out, woman."
She positioned her body to straddle his lap, trapping his
thick sex between her thighs. She worked her playful seduction with a slow,
rolling motion of her hips. Taylor moaned against his lips, "I want to
wear you out. I want to wear you out every day of our lives."
He placed his hands on her bottom, stilling her movement.
