new environment so I wouldn’t regret moving. Meanwhile, the only souvenir I had of Dave was a thin leather belt that he’d left at my place by accident. He’d used it one night to whip me, tenderly. It was an intense and delicious memory, and I never hesitated to use the belt when I felt the need.
â€œThen one day a green van pulled up in front of the house and a young man rang my doorbell, offering to take care of my lawn. ‘It’s not my lawn that needs taking care of !’ I said to myself, looking at the splendid young guy. He looked so nice I hired him on the spot.
â€œOh, oh! When you say ‘young guy’...?”
â€œNot even twenty! But let me continue! During the heat wave, in the evenings, I acquired the habit of turning on the radio and slipping into the pool, naked as the day I was born. I had the pool built when I moved in. The water was perfect, just the right temperature for cooling down an overheated body. I paddled around a few moments, then let myself float on my back, admiring the starry sky. After a few minutes of this my body drifted of its own accord to the powerful water jet from the filtration system.
â€œThe churning of the water was intense and I let it massage my breasts, my belly … my inner thighs. My body warmly welcomed this unexpected caress. I spread my legs a moment and let the hot whirlpool massage me. Then on impulse I got out of the pool, wrapped myself in a towel, and went to get Dave’s belt. As usual I got turned on just touching it. I slid it between my legs, down my back, my belly. Then I grabbed it at either end and slid it back and forth between my legs, letting the leather rub my swollen sex.
â€œIt was totally dark, so I could lie down on the chaise lounge and finish with my hand what the belt had started. After a few minutes of this I silently came, thinking of Dave, my old neighbors, and the young man who’d come over that afternoon.
â€œSuddenly, I heard the crackling of a branch. I snapped to attention and listened. There was soft laughter and murmuring whispers coming from the yard that backed onto mine. Had they seen me? Who were they? I was dying of curiosity. I wrapped myself in a towel and crept over to the neighbors’ fence.
â€œA couple was lying in the grass, kissing and laughing. They were obviously trying to be quiet, but without much success. I couldn’t see their faces, just the outlines of their bodies. They seemed young, maybe even teenagers. The boy seemed to be making advances and the girl trying to stop him. You could tell from her stifled giggles that she was nervous. She allowed him to caress her young chest, though he wasn’t very gentle. But then when he tried putting his hand inside her shorts, she jumped to her feet. All trace of laughter was gone and she ran away crying: ‘Not that, Sean! You promised!’
â€œSean … was it the same Sean who had come to my house that afternoon? Probably. Poor guy! So cute, but couldn’t get what he wanted. I said to myself, ‘He should choose older, less uptight girlfriends!’ I didn’t want him to know I was there, so I crept back inside, poured myself a drink, and sipped it in front of the television before falling asleep.”

Liza was hanging on to my every word; she had even taken off her jacket and shoes to listen more closely. She knew me well enough to know I wouldn’t keep her in suspense unless it was worth the wait.
    I continued with pleasure.
â€œThe next day was as hot as the day before. I didn’t have the energy to get dressed, so I stayed in my bathing suit all day. I didn’t do anything very strenuous, just lazed in the sun with a good book, taking an occasional dip in the pool, which had proved to be a worthwhile investment!
â€œLater in the morning I saw my backyard neighbor. It was the young man who’d come to take care of my lawn and had such an unpleasant setback the
