that the relationship she’d finally had with Remy was about to change
again.
As Remy took his turn in the hotel shower, Eve stood at the
sink, eyeing her reflection in the vanity mirror. She was still the same person
she’d been when she left her apartment in Salem, except she didn’t feel the
need to bind her hair or wear prim business clothes to work every day.
It wasn’t that she minded wearing dresses. In fact, she
preferred them to jeans, but today she wore a pretty violet dress that flowed
around her knees. She had cute sandals on her feet. The straps wrapped up
around her ankles in a crisscross pattern and gave her an added two inches of
height.
Having taken a quick shower when she and Remy first unpacked
their bags, she felt a gazillion times better and was glad she’d asked Avery
for a little time getting ready for lunch.
Drawn back to her reflection, she was once again taken by
the notion that she and Remy were on the cusp of something momentous. If it
were a matter of hoping to meet her favorite author, she could explain the hum
of anticipation zipping under her skin.
Yet the sensation never happened before, not really. It was
new, exciting, hinting of so much more than a reader meeting someone they
admired. Yes, she’d had a crush on him, weird as it’d been to admit.
But the night she and Remy became lovers, she felt as if
she’d exorcised that crush from her system. When she read aloud, she read for
her and Remy, no longer needing to imagine how it would feel to be his lover.
She knew that she was his, and he was hers.
All the while, she wondered what would happen if or when
Remy’s attraction to men came to the fore. He was right about the fact that he
couldn’t simply turn off that side of his sexuality. She didn’t mind that he
was bi, she truly didn’t.
Did that mean she’d have to share him with another man, and
if she did, would she be heartbroken or part of it? Knowing Remy had a deep
sense of honor it was likely that he’d chase away any attraction to someone
else simply to protect her feelings.
That was the kind of man he was, the kind who’d sacrifice
his own happiness for hers. Because she loved him, she wasn’t about to let that
happen.
“Eve, if you’re waiting for the mirror to tell you the fairest
woman of them all, no doubt it’s you,” Remy said, coming up behind her wearing
nothing but a towel.
How she’d missed him stepping out of the shower was beyond
her understanding. Seriously, a naked Remy was better than a covered one. But
he filled out a towel better than any man she’d ever known.
Better yet, he was incredible in bed, especially earlier
that morning. Holy smokes, even now she could feel the lingering aftereffects
of this morning’s romp.
“Your compliment is sweet, Remy, thank you,” she said, aware
of the delay. She couldn’t help it. She’d gotten wrapped up in ogling her man.
“It came from the heart,” Remy assured, nestling in close at
her back and hugging her around the waist.
“I love you for it.” Running her hands down her front to
rest them atop his, she loved how affectionate he was.
“Love you too,” he replied, pushing himself up against her
back. “You know that, don’t you?”
“Yeah, I know,” she said. She did, he said the words often,
sometimes as he was coming, mostly when he spooned up against her and whispered
in her ear.
His cock made its presence known against her dress-covered
ass. Without hesitation, she rubbed herself against his shaft, letting him know
he had an open invite to fuck her anytime he wanted.
“You wearing panties under this pretty dress?” he asked,
dropping his damp head down to her shoulder and nuzzling the side of her
throat.
“A girl should always wear her panties, especially when
expecting company.”
Remy clicked his tongue, following it up by nipping her
jugular. “Take them off. I want access to your pussy all day.”
“Ah, ever hear of asking politely?”
    “That was
