off towards the other shops.

Will walked down on his own carrying his bags and books trying not to bump into anyone but they didn't seem to be giving him the same consideration, he was starting too wonder how long the alley was when he saw the end of it realizing that it wasn't actually very long after all, it just seemed it because it was so hard to get past all of these people with everything that he had. The shop right at the end was the wand shop; he started to slow his pace as he got closer his nerves getting the better of him what if none of them worked with him? What if he wasn't powerful enough to use one and they had made a terrible mistake after all? He knew he was being stupid, because all of his family had magical powers, but it was really nervous and also exciting to be getting his first wand.

He was almost there and could see the sign of the shop over the heads of the crowd ‘DISTINY IN HAND’ when he stopped, seeing someone already in the shop heading towards the door, it was a girl with light brown hair cut into a bob and she was smiling as she opened the door followed by her mum and dad.

Will watched them leaving the shop before he went in behind them, the door closed with a snap, and then he stood in the empty shop. This was the only shop that he's been in all day that didn't have anyone else in it which kind of made the shop feel somewhat spooky. Unlike the other shops which had normal lights this one used candle lamps which didn't give off much light, and being at the end of the ally there wasn't much light coming through the windows either, though he also thought that they were kind of ditty caked up with dust, as though they hadn’t been clean in ages.

The shop and its contents looked as though they have been here for years as everything seemed overly dusty, the walls which were covered in small draws made the shop seem really closed in; he stood there wondering what to do and sure that there must be someone in here considering that the last people were served, when he finally heard something moving in the back.

He turned around on the spot worrying what it was as it felt so near to him, he could hear his heart beating even faster and harder than it had ever done before, he thought that it felt as though it was echoing through-out the shop itself; which he was sure that it couldn't really be that loud, but as he listened harder that was the only sound that he could really hear, so perhaps it really was that loud.

All he could hear was that noise, it was like it was all around him; but it couldn't be his own, even though he was scared now wondering what was going on. He told himself that it couldn't be his; that it had to be something else in here, but that was a heart beating. He walked towards the sound as though he was actually being drawn to it in some way, when he finally decided for sure that it wasn't his own, but he did want to know who or what it did belong to; he walked around the counter and towards the back draws that were vibrating ever so slightly.

Will walked towards those drawers, it had to be coming from one of those he was sure of it; he reached out his hand for the nearest draw.

"It has been a while since I've had one such as your self," a man said softly behind him.

Will practically jumped out of his skin, pulling back his hand and turning around to face the man; he looked old enough to be his grandfather but his voice was that of a young man, not gravelly at all.

"I'm sorry...I didn't mean to just come back here..." Will told him when he realised where he was in the shop, though he wasn't completely sure now why he was there. He still didn't move away from the draws though even though he knew that he shouldn't be back here, now that he had somewhat recovered his senses.

"Close your eyes and listen to them, for they are calling to you," the man told him.

Will had no idea what the old man was talking about, and he wasn't
