her with him in the morning? So many thoughts bombarded her, and all she could think was that everything she wanted was in this room, and that her heart would break if she lost them come sunrise. It wasn’t like they’d talked about the plan or where she fit into it.
Uriah’s fingers grazed across her cheek to cup her chin. “Izzy is very safe there, just as you will be if you choose to come with us tomorrow.” He smiled at her. “Which I am very much hoping you will.”
She smile and let out a deep sigh. “I was really hoping you’d say that. I want to see this magical world you come from. I just didn’t know how humans fit into the mix… Then again, Bain and Izzy have been together for a while now. So I guess you don’t see humans as lesser than you are.”
Uriah chuckled. “Well, no we don’t, but Izzy isn’t exactly human.”
Marie narrowed her eyes at him. “What do you mean?”
    Ah shit.
Uriah blew out a breath and watched her face carefully as he spoke. “Ah well, just like you, she carries Fae DNA. Izzy is somewhat of a unique situation.”
“Wait.” Her eyes were wide as she looked at him. “I have Fae DNA?”
Uriah smiled cautiously as he nodded. “That doesn’t bother you?”
“ Uh no, it’s pretty wicked… but, what does that mean exactly?”
“It means that the magic in your blood could be awakened . It took many feedings for Izzy to tap her magic. Makyle could better explain it all to you.”
    “Feedings?”
Uriah dipped his chin and sighed. “Can we talk more about this tomorrow? I’m sure both Makyle and Izzy could better explain how it all works.”
She smirked at him, one side of her mouth lifting just a touch higher than the other. “That feels like a brush off, Uriah… I think you know all too well how it works, but you don’t want to freak me out. All I want to know is if there is any chance I could end up with real wings?”
A bark of laughter echoed in the room. They both looked over to see if it had woken Makiah, but he didn’t stir. His little back lifted with each even breath he took.
“It’s not likely ,” he answered.
She huffed in dismay. “I guess the ones I have will have to be good enough.”
Her small pout pulled at Uriah heart. Capturing her cheeks in his palms, he pushed her back to hover inches above her face.
“I love the wings you have ; they’re exquisite. Just like you,” he murmured just before capturing her lips. His tongue swept into her mouth to taste her. The small moan it created had him itching to get closer. His knee pushed her legs apart, allowing him to settle between her thighs. His hands found the backs of her knees to pull them around his waist, where he ached for release as he ground his hard length against her heat.
Fire pooled low in her tummy as she felt him hard and ready against her . She wanted him naked and buried deep inside of her, to release the flood and ache that waited just below the surface.
Ripping her mouth from his, she sucked in a deep breath. “Not here.”
Uriah let out a frustrated noise, knowing she was right as his gaze fell to the sleeping baby only a few feet away from them. He didn’t want to hold anything back for fear of waking Makiah, and he desperately wanted to hear every noise she would make.
    She smiled. “Bathroom. Five minutes.”
He rolled off her, his eyes tracing every move she made until she disappeared behind the bathroom door. He grinned as he heard the water start.

Chapter Fifteen

There was something special about this apartment . It was bigger than it should have been, and the large soaking tub gave her all kinds of ideas.
She started the water and lit some candles. Hopefully, they weren’t some special spell-casting candles. Stripping, she slid into the warm, bubbly water. Her eyes traced Uriah’s movements as he pulled his shirt over his head, working to open his belt and fly to push his jeans and his boxers down his muscled thighs. Her tongue struck
