his cock responded instantly. He continued the teasing as he increased the strength he used to hold her hands above her head.
    “Gavin, let me go.”
Gavin looked into Amy’s eyes and kissed her. “No. If I do you might not come back.”
“I would think it would be the other way around,” Amy said seriously.
“What happened to you?” Gavin asked bluntly as he released Amy’s hands. He held his position on top of her. He moved his hands to the sides of her face, letting his thumbs stroke her cheeks. “I think you’re a total hottie. Why don’t you think so?”
“I don’t want to talk about this now, Gavin.” Amy tried to turn away, but his hands were on either side of her face, limiting her movement.
    “When?” Gavin asked.
    “I don’t know. Later.”
“Set a date and time. I want to know why a sexy, smart, beautiful, successful woman puts herself down so much,” Gavin countered.
“Can we go to dinner?” Amy asked quietly.
“I want to know. When will you tell me?” Gavin asked as he kissed her.
    “At dinner, tonight,” Amy answered.
Gavin guessed Amy decided the sooner the better and he preferred to get this all behind them. If there was some sort of baggage they needed to clear up, he wanted to do it now rather than later when they were in really deep.
    Gavin got up. “Let’s go.”

Gavin agreed to let Amy go home and freshen up. He told her he wouldn’t be far behind. She left and he took another shower and dressed quickly. It was a cool evening because a front had just blown through. Even with the shower, it only took him fifteen minutes to get to her from the time she left.
Amy had instructed Gavin to go around back. There was a key under one of the flowerpots, and if she didn’t answer he should use the key. He wanted to chew her ass for that little safety violation but refrained. Instead he decided he would keep that key. He parked and walked around the back of the house. Just like she had said, the key was under the second flowerpot. He shook his head.
Damn her! She’s got an ex and fucking gang bangers all over this town. Irene had let it slip that Amy had an ex-husband. Amy’s ex-husband would always be suspect in Gavin’s mind. Why would he let someone like her go? If Gavin had married her and she had tried to leave him, he would have locked her away and made sure she enjoyed every second of it. He shook his head. Yup, sure as shit I’m in trouble with this little hottie .
Gavin let himself into the house and listened for Amy. He didn’t want to frighten her. He could hear the water running from a room off to the side of the large living room. He sat down and looked for the remote, playing with it until he figured out how to switch on the TV. He turned up the volume so she could hear him when she got out of the bathroom. It wasn’t long before he heard her call.
“Gavin? Are you here?” Amy asked, coming out of the room in nothing but a towel.
“You know something? The only reason I don’t take you back into that bedroom and hump you into a coma is because you made me a promise. Now, quit distracting me, get dressed, and let’s go,” Gavin ordered.
Amy smiled before turning around and disappearing into her bedroom. It took all of his physical resolve not to follow her back into that bedroom. He knew they would never leave if he did.
Temptation won out. He got up and walked in just as she was sliding on her jeans. Having already become rock hard at Amy’s little appearance in nothing but a towel, he almost came on the spot when he saw her stunning ass in a white silk thong. He silently crawled into the middle of her bed.
    “Hello, hottie,” Gavin said.
Amy twitched and pulled her jeans around her hips.
“You scared me. Do you always sneak up on people?” Amy snapped.
“Most of the time. I don’t want people to know I’m coming. I catch bad guys for a living,
