completely honest.  Something happened before the cabin.  I was scared of men before then.  The cabin solidified it.”
Lydia stared at her for a moment with dawning comprehension.
“Oh baby, why didn’t you tell someone?  Our parents?  Me?”
    “I couldn’t.”
“Yes you could.”  Lydia grabbed her hands, and pulled her closer.  “Tell me now.”
“It happened one of those times at Papa’s office.”
“Oh fuck.  I think I know where this is going.”  Lydia looked scared and mad.
    “What?”
    “Tell me.”
“I was a sophomore.  Remember when I used to help with the filing?”  Beth’s thoughts hyper-focused to one of the moments in her father’s office.
“Papa’s office was such a place of pleasure.  The files gleamed brightly and it was my responsibility to make sure everything was in order.  I used my best printing to make sure every tab was readable, and everything was color coded so Papa could find them easily.”
The files were kept in a little room down the hall from Papa’s main office and three times a week it was my kingdom.  I was in there filing when the door opened, I turned to smile at Papa, but it wasn’t him.
“Oh, hello.  I think you’re lost.  Papa’s office is two doors down.” She smiled respectfully.  She’d met Alberto Guzman twice before, and she knew he and his father were important clients.
“I know.  He’s busy with my father.  I thought I’d find you.”
He walked into the room, and she realized her domain was very small.  He continued forward and her hip hit the open file cabinet drawer.
“Mr. Guzman, is there something I can help you with?”  Her voice sounded scared even to her own ears.  She had to be misunderstanding the situation.
“I’ve been watching you for months.  You’re beautiful, Elsbeth.”  She lost her voice.  She took another step backwards, and her heel hit the bottom of the file cabinet.  She winced.  Mr. Guzman stroked his hand down her cheek to her chest, until it rested above her breast.
“I’m going to kiss you.  Have you ever been kissed before?”  She shook her head, hair flying wildly.  He gave a raspy laugh, and used both hands to push it out of her face, his palms were clammy.  His breath was hot as he came closer.
Then his mouth was on hers.  She imagined his lips were what two worms would feel like, and his tongue, as it forced itself inside her mouth, was like a slug.  She pushed against him, but it was no use he was too strong.  She gagged.
One hand wrapped around her back, forcing her tight against him, she couldn’t move.  Then she felt his other hand clawing under the skirt of her school uniform.  Ahh God, she felt fingers crawling under her cotton panties.  She tried to scream, but she couldn’t.  No air.  She was going to die.
Pain, red hot pain, as he shoved into her.
“Berto!  We have to go.  Where are you?”
He released her, and she fell in a heap on the floor. Her arm slammed against the corner of the file cabinet, and tears and snot covered her face.
“Look at me, Elsbeth.”  She did, scared not to.
“Even crying, you’re beautiful.  I’ll be back for you.”
    “Berto!”
“Remember, we own your father, if you say anything, well, let’s just say bad things would happen.  Do you understand?”
She just stared up at a monster.
    “Elsbeth!  Tell me you understand.”
She nodded, trying to focus despite the pain radiating between her legs.
    “Say the words.”
The door pushed open.  “Come on, Berto, we have to go.”  Alfonso Guzman ignored her.
“Elsbeth, don’t you have something to say?”
    “I’ll tell no one.”
“Very good.”  He turned to his father.  “I’m ready.  We have reservations, don’t we?”  The door closed behind the two men.
“Beth, honey.  Can you hear me?”
“Lydia?”  It sounded like she was far away.  Beth shook her head to clear it.
“Oh thank God, you’re back with me.”  Beth
