confused. Please help me." She was on the verge of crying.
"No, don't cry. I can't accept that you are wasting your time and leaving your dream behind for the business."
"I am not saying I am going to join the business."
"You're freaking sounding like that." I wanted to shake her, and wake her from the foolish world she was in.
"You are out of your mind. I don't think you are listening to what I am trying to say here."
"You are out of your mind, Miss Eva Clark. You are planning to end your career."
"I thought you would support me Nathan." A tear splashed on her cheek. She picked up her purse and walked out of the door.
I wanted to stop her, but the thought of Eva joining her mother's evil business blasted me still. I sat there thinking about the situation, but I couldn't see any escape out of that situation. Dear lord, how am I going to tell this innocent girl about her mother?

Chapter 18
    Eva
I stormed out of Nathan's house, but I couldn't understand what had gone wrong. I wanted help from him, but the moment I mentioned joining the business, he panicked and started shouting. I walked out of his apartment, but I didn't feel like going anywhere. I felt alone and sad. Chloe, I thought about visiting her, but she was already stressed out with her own problems; I didn't want to disturb her any more. When I closed my eyes, Nathan’s panicked face was still visible in front of my eyes. His haunted eyes, I couldn't understand why he had taken the whole thing the wrong way. My face was blasted with high winds. I looked around, and I was walking on the footpath alone. My mind wandered in my own thoughts again. I was just asking Nathan for some advice. But he acted like I was telling him I had joined my family business. No, I can't blame him right away. I have to see his side of things as well.
I walked aimlessly, thinking about our discussion. Spending some time alone can do wonders with your issues. He was right about many things.  I can't give up on my dreams , my inner self said. Nathan was partially right. He just couldn't watch me giving up my own dream. Maybe I chose the wrong way to convey my confusion to him.
I looked around. I was wandering on the footpath next to his apartment. I should go back and say sorry. I turned back and climbed the steps to his apartment. The door was open, and I walked in. Nathan was sitting on the couch with his face hidden in his palms.
"I am sorry, Nathan." I said in a low voice.
    "What?" he looked up.
    "I said, I am sorry."
"But Eva, it's your career that's at stake. I saw you giving up everything for it, and now you are saying you want to put it aside?" His eyes spoke his heart. I went over to him and cupped his face in my palms.
"I am not destroying my career, sweetie. I love it more than anything. I just want a way to join things together."
"I'm still not convinced, Eva. They are the exact opposite."
"Look at yourself. You are managing both things, right?"
He looked away in pain. "Don't you see, Eva? I am actually failing in it. I don't have a single client right now. Frankly, I don't know what I'm doing with my business."
"I am so sorry. I didn't mean that." I had pressed a wrong button. I knew he didn't have a client after my college project, but I didn't know the conditions were so bad. "We will find a way out of it." I thought of asking my mother, but telling that to Nathan didn't sound like a good idea. "Come here." I sat beside him and pulled his head in my arms. I slowly started moving my fingers through his hair.
When I moved my fingers through his dark, silky hair, he closed his eyes and pushed his head on my breasts. I started tracing an imaginary line on his chiseled back. I loved every muscle of his body. He moaned when I traced on his neck. He started sucking my nipples. Suddenly he stood and pulled me up.
“What?” I wanted to make love to him and I thought he wanted the same. But, why had he stood up suddenly?
“I need a shower and I want you there,
