your ass and on your feet!”
He grinned widely then hopped out of his chair, holding my hand as we went through the gate.   We were ushered to our seats and immediately offered a drink.
“I can get used to this.   This is the life.”   He leaned over, placing his lips softly on mine.
“Yuk, save it for when you get off the plane.”   It was Janette taking a seat in the center row with James behind her.
“Oh my gosh, I didn’t know we were on the same flight!”   I should have known.   She would have purchased the tickets all at once.
I got up from my seat and gave them a hug.   “This is my boyfriend John.   John this is James and Janette, the very sweet friends of mine that we have to thank for our vacation.”
John smiled at me whispering, “boyfriend?”   He stood, shaking each of their hands.   “So nice to meet you.   Thank you so much for your gracious gift.”
“It’s time to take your seats,” the flight attendant said as she passed through.
After pre-flight instructions we were taxied down the runway.   As usual, I got the giggles during take-off.
    “What’s that about?” he asked.
“It’s like a roller coaster.   I giggle during every roller coaster ride, whether I like it or not.”
“I love the sound of your laugh.”   John kissed me again and gave my hand a squeeze.
Between the four of us conversing and the champagne that flowed freely, we were descending before we knew it.   After retrieving our bags, Janette led us all to where our limo awaited to take us to the resort.   I wasn’t paying attention to where we were going so I was thrown a bit when the doors of the limo opened up on a dock.
    “Where’s the resort?” I asked.
“It’s on the island, silly.   We take a boat from here.   Don’t worry, it’s a short trip and the water is calm.”   Jeanette put her arm around me.
Four large men in resort uniforms took all of our bags and loaded them on a ferry.   I was a bit nervous now, as I was no fan of boats on sea water.   I had been plagued with nightmares involving sharks as a child, which left me weary of shark infested waters.
The ferry ride was one big party.   People were already mingling, drinking and laughing.   I was already unprepared as most of the people were in bikinis.   My sundress was sticking to me in the heat and humidity.
“Color me impressed!” John whispered in my ear.   The sound of his voice already calmed my nerves.
“Yeah, this is the nicest vacation I’ve been on and we haven’t even gotten there yet.   I thought your friend said it had big concrete walls and stuff.   I don’t think he’s been to where we are going.”   I turned around to face John.   “He made it sound like it was in the middle of other resorts.”
“Yeah, I don’t know.   We’ll see when we get there.”
The captain announced we were pulling into port.   Everyone started making their way to the area of the ferry that got on.
When the ferry rounded the corner of the island, I was astonished at the sight.   The sand was white, setting off the blue water.   The palm trees framed the most beautiful site.   There was a waterfall and lagoon to the left and the resort was set at an angle so that the whole area was private.   We were greeted by bikini clad women handing information packets and gift bags to each of us as our feet hit the sand.
“Your bags will be waiting for you in your room.   You just have to go check-in and get your room combinations.”
    “Combinations?”   I asked.
“Uh, well, there are times where you won’t really have anywhere to put your card key if you get my meaning.”   She winked at me.
“Guys, I know I just me you, but I love you to death.   I’ve never been to such a beautiful place.”   John said to James and Janette.
“Yes, thank you a million times over.” I agreed.
“And I’m here with the most beautiful woman in the world.”   John put his arm around me.
    I noticed James
