it again. I suggested that maybe you all could live there. It's already furnished. He recently had it repainted and cleaned. It's really nice and in a gated complex that has security guards, which means I don't have to worry, especially about Della. You will have to pay the monthly maintenance fee, though, but it's really low."
"Cool!" Della nodded vigorously. "The bed at my place is giving me a backache."
"Yes. Cool!" Caitlin sat back in her chair. "I hate where I live in Papine. I swear my landlady goes through my stuff when I am not home, but I have just a few months left to get the degree and my aunt already paid up the rent for the place. I would love to take up the offer for summer, though.
"Sure, whenever is good for you." Hazel nodded.
"I can't." Brigid shrugged. "I am just starting to get acclimatized to Sonia. I am slowly getting to know her."
"Which is a bad idea," Caitlin tagged on before Brigid could continue. "Your mother is a bad...bad...bad influence. She's like the devil in a female package."
Brigid snorted in laughter. "Three bads, Caity, that's over-emphasizing Sonia's lack of virtues. Actually, she's not that bad. Not anymore. She's changed a lot. At the assembly of the in-breds, she was provoked and she did not even say a word. She came home and she did not have a single drink or smoke. She is on the right path. I think I am having a good influence on her."
Caitlin glared at Brigid skeptically. "Sin doesn't look so bad when you are in bed with her…I think you are the one that’s being influenced."
    Brigid glared at Caitlin.
"Anyway, that leaves Della," Hazel interjected before Caitlin and Brigid had a full-fledged fight. "I hope you don't mind living alone, Della. I will take you to the place on Sunday. Do you need help moving?"
Della was almost bouncing with excitement. "No, I have your car. I am fine."
"Which brings us to the Easter holiday," Hazel said. "I won't be around. I am going to Texas to visit Baron's relatives. He is looking forward to introducing me to his family. Apparently they were shocked and up in arms about the marriage. He says he wants to see their expressions when he introduces me to them."
"Me too." Brigid chuckled. "That old man is something else. It sounds like torturing his family is the only entertainment left in his life."
"It is. I'll be the instrument of torture for his family for two weeks." Hazel grimaced. "I am not looking forward to it. Did you know that Baron's oldest son is sixty? He has great-granddaughters that are my age."
"You signed up for it," Caitlin reminded her. "What did you expect when you married a man sixty-five years older than yourself?"
"I know," Hazel said, "I know. Can you not remind me every day?"
"But she has to remind you, Hazel, because she is Saint Caity, patron saint of the Magnolia sisters," Della chuckled.
"I don't remind you every day." Caitlin ignored Brigid's barb. "You married the old guy to fight Sebastian’s adoption and yet still, here you are no closer to getting him."
"I might not be around this Easter either," Brigid interrupted the imminent bickering. "I am going on a one week thing to Cuba with some medical students. They do it every year. I have to win some quiz thing from hematology class to go all expenses paid. I might not win it but I am keeping my fingers crossed. I would love to go."
"Good for you." Hazel nodded. "I really hope you win."
"My grandaunt is coming out this Easter. I am going to hang with her in Negril," Caitlin said. "You are welcome to come, Della, since you are going to be the only one not doing something for the holidays."
"I am fine," Della said. "I'll catch up on some sleep. My work is getting kind of stressful; it's coming down to tax time."
She considered telling them that she was getting snippets of things she thought were memories but changed her mind.
She had booked an appointment with her old psychiatrist, Dr. Fry, for after the Easter holiday. She was going to do the hypnosis
