again when she saw what was on the tray.
“ This is for your first step, bath salts and candles in your favorite scent, vanilla,” Mason explained and showed her the things they had brought her. Her breath hitched and tears grew as she realized they were serious. “This is your second step, a nice juicy burger, some fries, and a chocolate shake. Followed by a chocolate sundae, which is being delivered when you are ready.” He picked up the remote, turned on the television, went to a soft romantic music channel, then turned back to her. “This is your third step," he said, holding up a bottle to show her, "Lotion that West and I will rub onto your back and massage you until you're relaxed and comfortable.”
Arden smiled, “ And the champagne? And chocolate cream pie?”
“ That is for us as well,” Mason said and looked at her closely. “The champagne is to start this relationship off on a good note, and the pie is for West and I to eat, hopefully from where ever on your luscious body we decide to put it on.”
Arden looked at him with wide eyes. What the hell was he talking about? She leaned over and looked up at West who nodded and Mason continued, “ Babe, we are declaring our intentions, we both want you. We know ménages work, I know you know about them because ma told me she found a book in the back of your Hummer. One she'd read too, which freaks me out a little that you and my mom have the same taste in books. But I can get over it. We are gonna be honest. West and I have done this once before, but we hadn't had feelings other than lust for the woman, a one-night deal. Afterwards we realized it hadn't bothered us sharing, what bothered us was the fact we hadn't felt a connection. However, we agree we feel it with you. Hell, it is all encompassing when we are together our need to make you happy, to take care of you, love you.”
Arden looked back at them confused and said, “ Uh…so you have feeling for each other?”
‘ No!” Mason said and leaned back.
“ Babe, I have brotherly feelings toward Mason, and while I may be okay with seeing him naked, even bumping into to him a little, it's not like that. I don’t have sexual feeling toward him. For you, I do. It is different. Now, we talked and we know it is unusual, but we want this. It feels right,” West said.
“ So what, you want to share me? I don’t understand. You can both find good-looking women of your own. Why do you want to share?” Arden asked, trying to think about what they were saying. She was on overload, yet again. However, this was different, she felt a kernel of hope in her chest.
“ We know what it takes to be a military spouse, we've been there. I trust West with my life, I can see me having a future with all of us together. Taking care of one another. Listen this will not be simple, of course we will screw-up, probably have to sleep on the couch a time or two. But seeing my friends work through this, knowing the love they have. I want that. With you,” Mason said.
“ Can I think about it?” Arden asked, biting her lip.
“ Of course, we would never do anything you didn’t want to. But think about this while you are weighing the options. Two men to talk to, two men to take care of you, make you safe. And two men to hold you at night, touch you, love you, make love to you. All of our focus would be on you, anything you want,” West said.
Arden felt like she had been hit by a train, and she was exhausted. “ I'm gonna take a bath,” she whispered.
Both men nodded and moved to help h er. Mason went and ran her bath, pouring the salts in the tub. While West lit the candles and brought her chocolate shake into the bathroom and set her up a small table. She shivered at the thought.
So much had happened. But she had cried it out. If t hey had come in and said let's get moving, she would have. Because having a good cry was all she needed to let some of her baggage go. Arden knew what her heart wanted. West and Mason
