we leave it’s supposed to be damned chilly. Apparently, there’s a bit of a storm blowing in,” he said, rubbing a hand over her arm.
Nodding, she smiled up at him. “I’ll grab it on the way out.”
He’d been amazing, so had Robyn, actually. Between the two of them, they’d taken her on multiple shopping trips to refill her wardrobe. Which, given she’d only had a few salvageable items from the house, had taken her a few days to do. It had included the dress she now wore, from one trip with Robyn since she’d wanted to keep it a surprise for Shawn.
Given the hungry look he was still shooting at her, she’d say it had worked.
Tamara let her hand slide off him. Heading for the door leading to the garage, she knew he’d be right on her ass. Grant and Robyn would be in their own vehicle and would head out the front door.
Reaching the back door, she pulled her light sweater coat off the hook and smiled when his hand appeared to take it from hers. Glancing back at him, she snickered.
“ What?” His gaze snapped up to meet hers.
“ Quit staring at my ass, Camden,” she said, trying for a firm voice and failing.
“ You know you love it when I stare at your ass.” Grinning, he leaned in and kissed her cheek lightly. “It’s a damned fine ass, after all.”
Rolling her eyes, she pulled open the door and stepped out into the garage. Moving to the passenger side of the F-150, she waited dutifully for him to come around and open the door. He always got miffed if she did it herself, he was amazingly weird about it.
Accepting his hand up into the truck, she tucked her skirt around her carefully to ensure he didn’t find out too soon that she was only wearing the dress and her smile. Accepting her jacket from him, she settled it over her lap. Folding her hands on top after buckling up, she settled in for the drive.

An hour later, Tamara was circulating with the guests at the showing. The turnout was amazing and larger than the last one. It even looked like the entire C&M staff was there.
Heading toward Robyn, Tamara smiled at her. “Did you actually have to pay them all to come to this?”
“ Hell no, only a few are actually on duty,” the woman said with a chuckle. “The others came because of the rave reviews the last one got.”
That shocked the hell out of her. Blinking, she shook her head. “I didn’t even have a clue.”
    “ I’m amazed Shawn didn’t tell you.”
“ Shawn didn’t tell who, what?” Shawn asked as he joined them. He handed her the glass of water she’d sent him off for.
“ You didn’t tell me that your staff has been giving my work some rave reviews to the rest of your staff, and that’s why they are all here tonight.” Sipping, she watched him as he glanced around and grinned.
Shrugging, he looked back at her. “I told you that they liked your stuff.”
“ Not this much,” she muttered.
“ Actually, I did, but you didn’t want to hear it so you waved me off.”
Huffing out a breath, Tamara glared at him as she drank more water. Then she rolled her eyes. “Crap, I need to go to the ladies room,” she said, handing him her glass. “Hold the fort gang, I’ll be back shortly.”
“ Five minutes, or I come to find you,” Shawn said. His smile told her that it wasn’t for security reasons either.
Pausing, she leaned up and, when he leaned closer, whispered in his ear. “Then it’s a good thing I left my panties at home tonight.”
Patting his chest, she walked off, thoroughly enjoying the fact that he was now standing there with his mouth hanging open and a glazed look on his face. It really was the little things in life that made living it so much fun.
And boy oh boy, was screwing with his head fun.
Chuckling to herself, Tamara went in and used the ladies room. Touching up her lipstick, she stepped back out into the hall, glancing at her phone to check the time. She was thinking that she might just see if he’d stand by his five minute time
