Cowboy Love
her.
"God, you feel incredible," he murmured against her lips.
He began to rock his hips, slowly at first, but gaining speed when she pleaded, "Harder".
Her orgasm built again as she wrapped her legs around his hips, urging him to move faster and deeper with her heels against his ass. When her climax rolled over her, she arched her back and screamed his name as she felt hot cream seep from inside her and roll down between them. Pounding his pelvis into hers, his own orgasm spiraled out of control as he groaned. "Oh God."
Several hours later, his soft snores brought a wistful smile to her lips as she slipped out the door of his apartment, shutting it softly behind her.

Later that morning, she stood outside her car loading the suitcases in the hot sun. She hadn't seen Tanner again since she left his apartment the night before, after their wild sex, and she wasn't sure she wanted to. She'd given in to her attraction for him and the fantasy she created for herself in his arms, but now she had to get back to the real world. Her life waited in Dallas.
Sighing heavily, she headed back toward the house to get the last of her things. Grabbing her shopping bags, she walked out the door only to find the object of her fascination standing next to her car. Her steps slowed as her eyes met his across the expanse of the yard. He leaned against it with his arms crossed over his broad chest, just staring, like he couldn't get enough of looking at her. She stopped at the trunk of her car to put the bags in as he moved toward her.
"Were you going to leave without saying goodbye?" His question hung in the air between them.
"I really didn't think it necessary."
"Can we talk?"
"There isn't anything to talk about."
Running his hand through his hair in frustration, he replied, "Well, I need to." He took her arm and led her around the side of the house, away from Chris' prying eyes.
Once out of earshot, she pulled her arm out of his grasp. "Whatever you had to say could have been said in front of Chris."
"I don't think so, Amy. Why did you leave without even wakin' me?"
She shrugged, dropping her gaze to the boots on her feet. She couldn't let him work his way into her heart. If she did, she'd never recover. He put his fingers under her chin, forcing her to look at him. "I didn't think it was a big deal."
    "You're kiddin', right?"
Her lips turned down at the corners in a frown. "No. Don't get any ideas, Tanner. It was just a weekend thing, you know. I have my life in Dallas and you have yours here. Once I drive away, I'll more than likely never cross your mind again."
"If you really believe that, I am definitely not doing somethin' right."
"It doesn't matter. We probably won't see each other again, anyway. I'll go back and you'll be here, working on your parents' farm and playing at the bar." She squared her shoulders, shoring up her pride. She wasn't going to let him hurt her. She had already let him get too close and it would be better if she stopped this before she lost her heart.
"But I want to see you. I don't want this to end. I haven't even had a chance to get to know you very well. Are you cuttin' this off before it even gets started?" He stepped closer as she stepped back.
"It was fun while it lasted, but we live too far apart and—"
He quickly backed her against the wall of the house and took her lips with his. His tongue swept between her parted lips, invading her mouth and she whimpered under his onslaught. She pushed against his chest for a moment before giving into the sensations he caused and wrapping her arms around him. She allowed her tongue to dance with his as she felt him soften the kiss.
Tanner pulled his mouth from hers as his rasping breath caressed her cheek. "Don't tell me you aren't as attracted to me as I am to you. The way you screamed my name as you came around me, the softness of your lips against mine with every kiss and each caress, I know you hunger for me as much as I crave you. Once
