again with his weight. “We seem to have a problem.”
“W–we do?” She gulped as his lips circled her belly button with soft kisses.
“You still have too many clothes.” His thumb flicked the elastic string at her hip. It bounced back with a small pop against her skin. The light sting was nothing compared to the ache building inside her.
Sophie tried to appear nonchalant, but her voice came out in a croak. “What are you going to do about it?”
“This...” His warm breath fanned her lower abdomen as his lips trailed down the side of her hip. He grasped the elastic string of her thong with his teeth and tugged lightly. The elastic slid down the swell of her hip and over her thigh. Then he repeated the movement with the string on the other side. With the lace now at her knees, he hooked it with his thumb, quickly slid it down to her ankles and tossed it to the floor.
    “Oh!” Sophie cried out.
“That’s better.” His taut body settled over hers and he nudged her legs apart with his knee. “An even playing field now.”
“We’re going to play?” Her voice quivered the question, anticipation flitting through her.
“Like you’ve never played before,” he promised hoarsely, crushing her mouth with his.
She felt the first probing pressure against her sensitized skin. She moved her pelvis as a shudder rippled through her. He probed again, this time sliding inside and filling her with his throbbing warmth. A primitive groan erupted in his throat. “ Dio, bella . You feel incredible.”
Sensations gripped her abdomen and plunged liquid heat into her core. Sophie bucked, tightening around him. “You’re not so bad yourself,” she panted breathlessly.
He began to move, deepening with each thrust. Sophie held on, arms tight around his neck, her breasts pressed against his chest. With each thrust the pressure inside her heightened until she felt she could no longer hold back. Her body tensed, her hands dug into his neck and she squeezed her eyes shut.
“Don’t fight it, cara . Let go and enjoy the ride,” Max commanded, his voice straining with his own effort to hold back.
Sophie relaxed then cried out as the climax ripped through her, sending her over the edge and back only to crash into her again and again. Emotional tears pricked behind her eyes. She had never felt anything so wonderful before in her life. Even the first time he’d made love to her it hadn’t been like this. She had been too distraught to focus and a little too tipsy to remember.
Seconds later she opened her eyes to find Max watching her tenderly. Then something moved behind his eyes, his features tightened and he moaned out her name as his release shuddered through him.

He hadn’t gotten her out of his system Max realized a few minutes later as he lay spent, flat on his back with Sophie’s warm body snuggled against him. Her head rested in the crook of his arm fanning silky burnished locks across his chest while her soft bare bottom pressed into his thigh and caused havoc with his libido. She moved against him and a bolt of heat flared inside stirring him to life.
Nope. He hadn’t gotten her out of his system. Not by a long shot. Instead, he felt like he’d just tasted a delicious appetizer and was still waiting for the entrée.
“Wow!” Sophie turned in his arm to give him a cheeky grin. “That was amazing!”
Max chuckled and kissed the top of her head. He breathed in her fragrance, lavender and vanilla mixed with something a little more womanly and a lot more enticing. “ You were amazing.” His dark brows shot up. “I could go another round or two. What about you? Do you think you can keep up?”
Her laugh sprinkled the air. She rolled over to straddle him, pinning his hands above his head to the bed. “Whip out the glove and just try and stop me.” She leaned down, her breasts lightly brushing against the hard wall of his chest and caught his lower lip between her teeth. She ran her tongue
