window.
When he was at a safe distance, she glanced over at the girl on the bed.  “What of this one?”
He shrugged.  “You can have her if you want,” he offered.
Gen looked at the woman.  Full breasts held rosy nipples that piqued as if begging for attention.  Catching her gaze, Damien focused on Mina.
“Mina, show Genevieve how willing you are to make her happy,” he instructed.
Mina reached up to cup her breasts, her fingers tweaking the nipples.  One hand trailed lower to disappear into the mass of dark curls at the juncture of her thighs.
    “Gen,” Damien called out.
    Genevieve’s eyes met his.
“First, the tracker,” he ordered.  “You can play later.”

    “A vampire,” Kat repeated woodenly.
    Alec nodded.
Her tongue came out to slide along her lower lip.  “Uh huh.”
“I know that this isn’t easy to hear,” he said.
    Kat stared at him.
His gaze was trained on her.
Man, could she pick them?   She finally found a guy that she was attracted to and he turned out to be a lunatic.  Obviously, he was on drugs or was one card short of a full deck.  She had seen stories about people who got involved with psychos on Dateline but she never expected to be starring in her very own episode.  Of course, with the story he was telling her they might end up on Supernatural or Buffy the Vampire Slayer instead.
Still, he didn’t look like he was high on something.  Which meant she had to go with the psycho scenario.
    Perfect .
She twisted her lips into a smirk.  “A vampire…Right….I should have guessed.”
His lips formed a straight line.  “I’m telling you the truth, Kat,” he said, his tone firm.
She pulled the robe around her tightly.  “Right, I believe you,” she lied as she started to edge toward the end of the bed.   “But I do really have to be getting home.  My mother will be wondering where I am.”
She managed to get one foot on the floor before his words stopped her.
“Your mother died a year ago.”
Okay, so he had obviously done his homework enough to see through her lie.  But his knowledge of that was much more easily explained than what he said next.
“You wore a dark blue dress .  It was your mother’s favorite color.’
A chill raced up her spine.
    “How do you know that?’
“Because I’m telling you the truth .”
“Vampires don’t exist,” she said.  “They are a myth.”
He offered her a solemn smile.  “ Many myths are grounded in reality.”
“If my father knows where I am then why didn’t he come here to see me himself?”
    “It’s complicated.”
Her eyebrows rose.  “More complicated than the vampire thing?”
“Everything I’m telling you is true, Kat, whether you choose to believe it or not.”
She shook her head as she got to her feet.  “Look, I don’t know what you are on but I really do need to get home.”
“ I know what happened last night at the club, Kat.  Do you know why you couldn’t make yourself leave the room last night?”
Her breath stilled.  “That was real?”
“More real than I want it to be.”
She stumbled back to sit on the edge of the bed.  “I thought it was a dream .”
“It was no dream.  If I hadn’t gotten there when I did…”
He didn’t need to complete the sentence.  She remembered enough to know what would have happened.
    “ The man…last night…who is he?”
He let out a heavy sigh.  “His name is Damien.  And he is very dangerous,” he offered.
“What does he want with me?”
“He can tell that you ’re special.”
She rolled her eyes.  “Oh, would you get off the whole vampire thing ?”
“It’s the truth, Kat.  Damien can tell that you are more than an ordinary human.”
    “This is ridiculous,” she muttered.
Alec took a step toward her.  “If he finds out who your father is…”
“ Is this some kind of role play thing?”
His eyes met hers.  “Your father is no t an ordinary vampire,” he
