Terrah.
With what seemed like extreme effort, she twisted the cool metal in her hand and opened the door. She stepped into the hall and lifted her chin to meet Nick’s eyes as he leaned against the door. His gaze travelled over her lips for a brief second, making her stomach dip.
“I enjoyed brunch, too, Terrah. See you in the morning.”
    “Later.”
She turned around and walked away, conscious of her wet thighs and Nick still watching her from his doorway. When she heard his door click closed she exhaled, replaying every intimate moment between them as she practically floated down the hall. Nick was an amazing lover.
    He’s amazing, period.
    Funny, engaging, romantic… sexy .
“Can’t forget sexy,” Terrah muttered as she approached her door and pulled out her key card.
She was beginning to wonder if she’d become involved in something she had no way of controlling. In less than thirty-six hours, Nick had completely turned her world upside down. She’d told herself she’d indulge in a hot fling with him, but maybe she couldn’t handle the smouldering heat. Nick kept surprising her. He was nothing like the man she’d assumed him to be.
Terrah placed her electronic key in the door, smiling as she thought about his kisses on the plane. He’d helped her get over her anxiety with his unconventional, but totally effective method. Her Hawaiian trip was turning out to be interesting for reasons she hadn’t even anticipated.
    “Terrah?”
She turned around and found Jocelyn staring at her in astonishment, with Lyn Lee, another model, standing beside her.
    Great.
“I assume you’re here to make us look gorgeous for tomorrow’s shoot?” Jocelyn tossed her bone-straight blonde tresses over her shoulder.
Terrah opened her mouth to respond as Jocelyn turned away to continue talking to Lyn.
“Aidan Marks liked the proofs with Nick and me so much, he personally asked me to join this shoot here in Hawaii!”
“I’m excited to be working with him on this, too,” Lyn said, looking at Terrah. “Hi, I’m Lyn Lee.”
The beautiful Asian model held out her hand and Terrah shook it with a warm smile.
“Nice to officially meet you, Lyn. I look forward to working with you both tomorrow.”
    “Did you just arrive?”
“Um, a few hours ago,” Terrah answered, mentally selecting which eyeshadow colours she wanted to try on Lyn in the morning.
Jocelyn sighed. “I wish I’d gotten here earlier. My agent had to juggle another shoot for this, but I pleaded with her to do whatever it took to get me here. I wanted to visit the islands again before the year was up.” Jocelyn tugged up the bodice of her strapless fuchsia mini dress as Lyn and Terrah looked at her. “Wait until you see Nick. His photos don’t do him justice.”
    Lyn smiled. “I believe you.”
“The photos from our last shoot together were incredible.”
“I can’t wait to see how they turned out.”
Jocelyn gave Terrah a bright smile. “They’re fabulous . I’m so looking forward to working with him again.”
    Isn’t this awkward ?
“Well, I’ll see you guys in the morning.”
“Later, Terrah,” Lyn said with a grin as she glanced at Jocelyn. “I suppose we should do something low key, so we can be up at the crack of dawn.”
Jocelyn offered a small wave as the two models continued walking down the hall. Terrah fumbled to get her key in the door. She could hear Jocelyn as she continued to talk about Nick to Lyn.
“I’m right across the hall from Nick. I’m going to have to resist knocking on his door to say hello.”
Terrah could hear Lyn giggle as she opened her door. She stepped inside her room and kicked off her heels, suddenly exhausted.
    Right across the hall?
    How convenient.
    “Stop.”
With a weary sigh, Terrah shook her head as she stripped out of her dress and headed towards the bathroom. She refused to indulge the cynical thoughts racing in her head. Until she saw reason to believe otherwise…she was going
