Damn it Dylan I was thinking as my
face grew hotter. "Payton I just don't want to have Casey's situation
repeated. I know that it was your first time and I also know that I am not
going to stop you and Dylan from continuing to have sex but I can do something
for you that I should have taking the time to do with Casey. I want to take you
to get put on birth control". I looked up at her with tears of complete
embarrassment and I said, "You’re not mad at me?" She smiled saying,
"I knew it was just a matter of time before it happened. You two are young
and attracted to one another. I was young once too honey." We discussed it
more and I agreed to go to the doctor. She hugged me and went off to get some
rest. I had stayed at the table for a little bit thinking about everything that
had just happened. I finally got up from the table and left the room.
The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxed Karen was off
until Monday and we all lounged around watching movies and eating junk food.
Trying to keep my distance from Dylan I didn't feel very comfortable with it
all knowing that Karen knew what we had done. Secretly making out with him on
the couch after Karen had gone to bed, wanting it to go so much further but
resisting the urges we both had. We didn’t want to make Karen upset with us.
She was just looking out for us and we knew that.
Sunday afternoon Casey, Karen and I took off to do a
little shopping. Dylan and Carter decided to stay home and play PlayStation. We
went to the mall and walked around I wanted to go check on a book that I had been
wanted while Karen and Casey went to look for some Jeans. I kept having a
feeling as I walked that someone was following me. I noticed the same woman and
little boy everywhere I went. I stopped at the food court to grab a drink
looking over realizing they were there lingering as the little boy drank a
small slushy. I made my way to the bookstore and began looking around. When I
finally found the book I wanted I walked to the front of the store to pay as I
was standing in line I looked out the front and saw the same lady and little
child. I couldn't shake the feeling that maybe I knew her from somewhere. It
was really hard to tell because all the times that I had seen her she was
looking down at the little boy. I looked forward and then back out again
noticing that they were gone. I walked out the front doors turning to the right
and walked off to Old Navy to find Karen and Casey. I made a stop at the
restrooms first, when I came out my phone beeped startling me, I reached into
from my bag rummaging for my phone causing me to drop the book I just purchased
onto the floor in the process. I reached down for it at the same time as my
hand connected with someone. I looked up directly into her eyes and I gasped....stumbling
back into the wall staring into my eyes...then looking down at the little boy
and again into my same eyes...
    "Maggie...!”
I dropped my phone sliding down the wall and settled on
the floor. Shocked, scared overwhelmed…angry a million emotions rushed in at
once. I couldn't believe this was real. How could this be real after almost
seven years how could she be here in front of me with this little boy, this
little boy that looks like me, like her. She took a step toward me lightly
smiling unsure of the next move. She reached her hand out for the little boy kneeling
down next him still looking at me she said Max I'd like you to meet
Payton....Your sister!"
