even as his pants fell to the floor.
She was so ready for him that she nearly came when he took her nipple.
She tightened her legs around his waist when
he picked her up and lifted her up and down over him. When the wall touched her
back, he took her mouth hard, his tongue sliding along hers and taking
possession of her mouth. When he slid his mouth along her chin to her collar
bone, she moaned again. He was taking her so hard against the wall she wondered
if it would support them. Digging her nails deep into his back, she heard him
snarl, and knew that his cat was coming to the surface.
“He wants her. Let her come out for him.”
Alistair’s voice was harsh, gravely almost. Her cat seemed to be so close that
she was afraid of losing her. “Let her go. I’ve got you both.”
The cat in her seemed to scream to the
surface. Ally felt her cat’s body roll over her human one and watched as
Alistair’s cat did the same. Fur and stripes seemed to race quickly along his
neck and arms. His face seemed to stretch and expand even as his eyes went from
the warm brown to a golden hue. His teeth stretched in his mouth, and she felt
hers do the same and as soon as he bit her, she bit him back and felt the bond
with the cats fall into place. And as soon as she felt it, her body exploded in
the hardest climax she’d ever had.
Vaguely she heard Alistair roar, his
body slamming into hers so hard that she knew that she’d be sore for a long
while. Walking would be difficult. But even as that thought occurred to her, he
lifted his head and looked at her.
“Come. Come again and take my throat.” She felt as if
a trigger had been pulled and she came again, her body bowed from the wall as
her cat roared from her. When she saw Alistair’s throat exposed, she leaned in
and sank her teeth so deep into his throat the blood didn’t just pour from the
wound but gushed in long streams down the back of her throat. Tearing at the
skin, she knew that she’d marked him, just as he’d done to her.
They climaxed together, both of them
falling over the edge of the cliff and never looking back. Even as she tried to
hold on to the sensations, she knew that for as long as she lived, this would
be the one memory that would live forever. She felt the air around her tighten,
and then she, too, shifted behind him. Christ, they’d torn up the room.
When he lifted his head after she sealed
the wound, Ally could see that his cat was still close. She wanted to ask him
if hers was there, as well, when she felt her purr along her insides. She
looked at Alistair when he laughed.
“I can feel her, too. She’s well
satisfied, as is my cat.” He licked along her throat, which had her purring
again. “You have any idea what that sound does to me?”
“Yes. When you do it, I feel it all the
way to my toes.” She looked at the steam-covered mirror over the counter. “I’m
betting that we have very little hot water left.”
She stepped in to take a quick shower,
and he came in after her. When he washed her hair, she helped him with his back.
Licking along the small scratches she’d put there, he told her she was going to
kill him. Laughing, they stepped out and heard his phone ringing.
“It’s my secretary. She wants to know
where the hell I am.” He answered the phone while she got dressed. He was
joking with the person on the other end and telling whoever it was it had been
her fault. She stuck her tongue out at him as he pulled on another shirt.
“She’ll think I had my way with you and
that’s why you’re late.” He grinned. “She already does, doesn’t she?”
“Yes. Mary Margaret is a cat, as well.
There are many of them that work in my office. I try to help them get a foot in
the door so that when they go out on their own they’ll know how to work around
what they are. Some people, most people, still don’t believe we exist. And that’s
probably a good thing.” He kissed her mouth gently. “You are going to be okay
now. You
