medbay. "Pig," she spat.
"She loves me," Xon said with a grin, "she really, really does."

Norik moved away from his door. He knew they would be out there, his crew were so predictable, talking about him. It was however comforting for him to know that they would be with him on this. He had been making contingency plans for if he had to pursue this on his own. The odds were more in his favor now, provided she was still alive. Every fiber of his being told him that she was and his rational mind was in agreement. This General would want to retrieve his specimen, not destroy it. He would need a lab to do this, probably his own lab, which could be back on the planet Norik had left not even a week ago. This reasoning was backed up by the fact that they were now headed in that direction. Tactically speaking it would be better to stop the General while he was still in space and away from any other forces he might have at his disposal. The odds of Jasmine surviving a fight in space though, were minimal. For the first time Norik found himself unable to separate the person from the decision. The Commanding Officer in him knew what to do, but the other part that he didn't even know existed before Jasmine, was vehemently against it. Gone was Norik's cool impartiality to decision making and in it's place stood a part Lyrissian male who wanted to rip the head off the man responsible for taking his mate. Even if technically she'd been the one to take herself away from him. A thought that sat uneasily in the pit of his stomach, whenever it entered his mind.

"Were you able to sleep?" Nancy asked with quiet concern as Norik eased himself into his command chair. She had been notified that they were near the planet before Xon had informed the Colonel. A courtesy from the Duarr that had surprised her.
Norik shook his head and looked to his Second for an update.
"Sometimes I find mastur-" Xon started but all that came out next was a little squeak. He stared hard at Nancy who paid him no attention whatsoever.
Norik looked between the two and then leaned closer to Nancy after she took the seat beside him. "What did you do?" he asked.
"Nothing much," Nancy said as she clasped her hands in her lap. "He just temporarily forgot how to speak. It won't last long."
As if to prove it Xon poked his head between them and said, "I've a more interesting way to stop you talking," and then he disappeared before Nancy could do anything else to him.
"Do I want to know what happened while I was away?" Norik asked.
"I got drunk one night and did something stupid," Nancy explained as calmly as if she were reading a patient's chart. "And apparently so did my bunkmate, Anari."
    "Ah," said Norik.
"And Vlad, and Peter's wife," Nancy finished.
Norik closed his eyes briefly and said, "Does Peter know?"
"Not yet. He still thinks she's cheating on him with Vlad," she said.
    "Is she?"
"Oh no," Nancy said with a smirk. "That ended before we put you on leave."
"Is there anything else I should know?" Norik asked, afraid that there was.
She shook her head and said, "About the crew? No, however I'll be starting physicals soon."
Xon reappeared between them and said, "She looks forward to seeing you naked again, Colonel."
Norik caught the Duarr by the hair and pulled him closer, so he was balanced at a precarious angle. "Stop sleeping with my crew or I will let the good Doctor here castrate you with an implement of her choosing. Do you understand?"
"Aah. Yes sir. No sleeping," he assured him and when Norik let him go he cheekily asked, "Can I still have sex with them, sir?"
Nancy rolled her eyes and asked, "Don't we have a woman to save?"
"Yes," said Xon. "The Colonel's woman."
Norik growled at Xon but clamped down on his anger to issue orders based on the intel they had received from command. "Callisto will lay down covering fire while two armed infiltration teams enter the complex."
"Aye sir," Xon said and snapped off a happy salute. "I will infiltrate,
