forcing myself not to laugh over his huffiness as I bent down and set my mug on the floor. I removed my mittens with my teeth, spitting them across the wooden planks before kicking the pair of them over against the wall. “You could try being a little more gracious, Professor Fuddy-duddy.” Grunting, I pulled off each boot, placing them neatly on the thick mat lying next to the door.
“In the future, we’re getting those two a room at the lodge as well.” He took another anger-induced sip from his mug.
I slipped off the coat and hung it on one of the large iron hooks protruding from the wall. Wade was now paying slightly more attention to my body, even more so when I bent over to retrieve the coffee cup. I’d discovered he’d had a bit of a fetish for thermal underwear bottoms. I wore them for practical reasons, the fact it turned him on was merely a bonus.
“The twins are strangers, visiting from a far away, foreign land called Homolovefunia.” I sauntered over toward him, gyrating slightly to the beat of the club music we could clearly hear all the way upstairs. “Their customs may seem odd to you and your Mayflowery-puritanical ways, but all they want is to share their gift of fevered frivolity with the rest of the world. They should be praised for their generosity, not reviled for what makes them different from you and the other mountain people ‘round these here parts.”
Wade still appeared irritated, though he’d already moved on to other distractions as I allowed him to back me up against the large island in the gourmet kitchen with its smoky, caramel stained cabinets and professional grade stainless steel appliances. The island created a visual barrier, separating the eating/dining areas from the butch cabinesque design of the living room.
Wade’s large hands were now on my hips and he pressed his mouth onto mine, quickly warming my frozen lips as our tongues thrust into one another’s mouths.
My first Christmas gift, I thought. He tasted like coffee which let’s face it, was borderline crack to an addict such as myself. It made for a lovely surprise as he was usually a tea drinker.
“I missed having you next to me when I woke up,” Wade said between kisses. “Didn’t like you not being there.”
I stared into his eyes, wondering what it was about Wade’s possessive nature that turned me on while the same behavior from the other men in my past had elicited the exact opposite reaction. Apparently it had more to do with the man than the bad behavior.
I ran my hand over his package and wiggled my eyebrows at him. “If that puppy shot espresso instead of semen we’d both be the happiest men in the entire universe.”
He laughed, glancing down at my hand before shoving his face into the nape of my neck, breathing me in. “It smells like sex and cookies in here.”
I glanced around the kitchen at the ten dozen sugar cookies stacked along the counters covered in plastic wrap. Dixie had spent the prior afternoon and evening holding culinary court in the kitchen as she baked her little Texan heart away. I smiled, amazed by his stamina, feeling his hand sliding over my ass. I hooked a finger into the waist band of his sweats, allowing my hand to dangle there, exposing an extra hint of the skin on his hip.
The instant Wade began sucking on my neck, tingles spread across my skin and I knew where one-track Horny McGee was headed.
“My parents are gonna be here any minute,” I said, placing my other hand on his chest. “Gotta finish icing all these cookies before this afternoon.” I moaned my approval as he gently nibbled away. “Aren’t you hung over at all?”
Wade laughed under his breath, stopping long enough to look at me. “I am a little, but seeing you in those thermals gets me going.”
“A slight breeze’ll do that these days, buddy.” I said, as his fingers began tugging at the elastic on my waist band.
“It’s all on you, babe,” Wade said, that teasing half smile
